The traditional soaps are obtained through the saponification with caustic soda (NaOH) of fat acids and/or animal or plant originated triglycerides.
The main characteristic is the high pH value: for this reason the traditional soaps clean in deep, removing every trace of oil or fat from the skin.
> Easier rising compared to liquid soap
> Eventually addition of ingredient for specific uses
The base of these soaps is perfect to obtain soaps particularly scented, coloured and with different shapes.
The most famous and traditional soap is Marseille soap, which in past was used for hand-laundry and today is even employed in cosmetics, added with ingredients suitable for skin.
The employment of plant-originated fats (coconut oil, palm oil, olive oil) allows to obtain excellent performance, avoiding the problematics attached to the use of animal originated fats.
It’s a traditional base soap that combines the good cleansing power with a pleasant appearance, thanks to its transparency.
